What: Screech at the Beach 5k
Where: New Seabury, MA
When: October 31, 2015
5ks aren’t really in my marathon training plan but I have
been telling one of my clients for the past few years that I would run! So… this year I am! The race normally falls on the same weekend
as the Cape Cod Marathon and Half but this year it’s on Halloween morning!
The course runs through beautiful New Seabury, which to my
knowledge is fairly flat (I could be
wrong!) and has a post-race party with "great food and adult beverages" from the Raw Bar and 99 Restaurant.
Cash prizes to the top male and female overall. Age group and
“Best Costume” awards are also given. In the
words of my co-worker, Brian, “Those cash prizes really make you work.”
I’ll be running 10 miles that morning so I’ll probably warm up for 2 miles, 5k race, followed by a 5 mile loop through New Seabury after
