Week 1 of 16
“I’m on the right track baby, I was born to be brave.”
I’m back to training mode! 100%.
This week kicked off the official Week 1 of Boston Marathon training and
I’m using Gaga lyrics as my mantra.
Merry Christmas! Christmas fell on a Monday this
year and I was able to get out for 6 merry miles to the beach and back after a
little push from my mom.
On Tuesday—I couldn’t believe it—I
went to run club. The whole week
forecasted freezing cold temperatures but Danielle and Jason were back and just
about all my friends showed up so I was happy to be there.
Since I ran longer than usual on
Monday, I didn’t run on Wednesday and went right to my lift. I wimped out on Friday and opted indoors on
the treadmill then stuck around for my second strength training session of the
week.
I procrastinated all Saturday
morning but sucked it up and drove to Falmouth in the afternoon for my long
run. 10 miles, feels like 10
degrees. It was… cold. I probably ran faster then I should have but
I couldn’t hold back in the cold.
1 week down, 15 weeks to go!
Other highlights:
·
A friend mailed me a surprise package to
celebrate the start of Boston training!
·
On Friday night Georgie and I took a drive to
the beach to chase another sunset. It
was definitely worth it.

home so we were able to watch together!
