Happy March! It’s my Birthday Month!
16 miles last week, 18 miles this
week, and it’s time for my 12-week Buffalo Half Marathon training to begin! I have been working on a training plan with
one goal in mind—to PR in Buffalo. I
know that if I want to race fast, I am going to have to train fast. Strength train. Recover well.
Eat well. (In fact I declared the
month of March #NoCandyMarch—AHHH!)
Let me just take a minute to point
out how proud I am of my pup. This was a
HUGE week for Georgie! She completed 4
runs totaling 10.25 miles. Not only did
she run her first 5k on Wednesday, she also ran 3.4 miles on Saturday on a day
that I did not feel like running AT ALL.
She still stops quite a bit to sniff and take bathroom breaks (she
pooped 3 times during her 3.1 mile run!) but she is getting better and seems to
really enjoy our time together out on the roads.

I got a major haircut! 10+ inches…gone! I don’t love
it but I also don’t hate it. It will
just take some getting used to but I am happy to donate my ponytails to a great
cause.
