Weekly Roundup 3.7-3.13

Week 1 of 12

Buffalo Half Marathon training is here and overall I had a good first week.  Everything went according to plan.  Monday started out as a very grey day so I ran inside on the treadmill but on Wednesday the sun was shining and temperatures warmed up enough for shorts!  I was also excited to pair my 2XU Compression Performance Run Sleeves & Racing VECTR Socks—perfect for speed work!

I brought Georgie to the beach on Friday for a 3 mile run.  She was cruising!  Her 5th 1/2 mile split was a 3:40 without any stops.  Seriously G?!  I was also very happy with my long run as I really pushed the pace on a day that I was totally lacking motivation.

Other highlights:

·      I get to interview Meb about the Buffalo Marathon!  As you all know, I’ve been having a blast as a BibRave Pro and this is just another fun opportunity for me!  All week I’ve been asking my followers to submit questions for a Q&A session with Meb Keflezighi.  I will be choosing my 3 favorites so if you have any last minute questions, post in the comments below…
·      I signed up for the 7th Annual Piggy Trot on May 22, 2016.

Upcoming events:

·      11 weeks until the Buffalo Half Marathon!
