So I started out the week with a 4
mile run.
I went to Run Club on Tuesday
night and earned Run Club Rewards for my 30th appearance since the rewards
program began. I started out running the
5 mile loop with Jason and Kyle. It was
another humid night so we were taking it easy… then I got injured.
The bad news is that the pain was
so sudden and sharp in my Achilles that I immediately had to start walking.
The good news is that this
happened right in front of my work.
Jodi B (a PT) drove me back to my
car at Marathon Sports. I went home to
ice and take ibuprofen then the next day she took a look at it. She couldn’t feel anything significant and
unofficially diagnosed my injury as an Achilles strain. She hooked me up with some ultrasound to
bring blood to the area then taped me up.
The Rock Tape feels great. I am
walking pretty normal with it but certain movements remind me that I’m injured. It’s always something…
